Given,

In a class ,there are 49 students .If the number of girls is 2/5 of the number of boys,

So,

=> x + 2/5 of x = 49

=> x + 2x / 5 = 49

=> 5x + 2x / 5 = 49

=> 7x / 5 = 49

=> 7x = 245

=> x = 245 / 7

=> x = 35

Thus, The no. of boys present were 35
