Let the number of boys be x

So, the number of girls be 5x / 6

According to Question,

Given : Total number of students = 55

x + 5x / 6 = 55

⇒ (6x + 5x) / 6 = 55

⇒ 11x = 330

⇒ x = 330 / 11

⇒ x = 30

Number of -

Boys = x = 30

Girls = 5x / 6 = 5(30) / 6 = 150 / 6

= 25

Hence, there are 30 number of boys and 25 number of girls
