In a clothes store the shopkeeper bought 50 skirts for Rs. 600 each. He sold 30 skirts at Random. 750 and 20 skirts at Rs. 400 each. What was his profit or loss percentage?​

Answer:

CP of 50 skirts=600*50=30000

SP of 30 skirts=750*30=22500

SP of 20 skirts=400*20=8000

Total SP=22500+8000=30500

Profit=SP-CP

= 30500-30000

= 500

Profit%=profit*100/CP

=500*100/30000

=50000/30000

=5/3% or 1.66% approx.
