So

No of male = total people - number of female

So , = x - 6x /8

According to the question


6x / 8 = 36 + 2x /8

6x /8 - 2x / 8 = 36

4x / 8 = 36

x = 36 *8 /4

it comes 72


hence no of male is

2/8 *72. ,( simplify this)

= 18
