Let total no. of people be x

So 6/8 of x = 36

6x = 8 × 36

6x = 288

x = 48

So there are total 48 people in the society.

it is already given that 36 are females

so No. of males are 48 - 36 = 12

So tgere are 12 male members in the society.

Hope it helps you..!!
