in a Colony 6 by 8 of the total people are females if the numbers of females is 36 more than that of the males how many males are there in the colony ?​

TOTAL NUMBER OF PEOPLE = 48

FEMALE = 36

MALE = 48 - 36

= 12

Here is your answer.....

Let total no.of people be x.

so, 6/8 of x =36

6x=36*8

6x=288

x=48.

So there are total 48 peoples in the society...

It is already given that 36 are females in the society.

so no of males are , 48-36= 12

There are 12 males in the society....
