  2. Let N be the number of people who speak Spanish.
  3. Let MN Number of people who speak both French and Spanish.

Hence

\sf (MN = M + N - MN) \\ </p><p>\sf = 50 + 20 -10 \\ </p><p>\sf = 70 - 10 \\ </p><p>\bf = 60

Therefore , 20 people can speak both french and spanish.
