nE=60
nH=30
n(EintersectionH)=15
nHunionE=nH+nE-nEintersectionH
=60+30-15=60+15=75
so there are 75 people speak at least one of the two languages

Answer: 75 People

Concept: venn diagram

Given:

No. of  People who  speak English= 60

No. of  People who  speak  Hindi= 30

No. of  People who  speak both languages= 15

To Find :

People who speak at least one language = n(H∪E)

Formula Used:

n(A ∪ B) = n(A) + n(B) – n(A ∩ B)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let' s consider,

No. of  People who  speak English, n(E) = 60

No. of  People who  speak  Hindi , n(H)= 30

No. of  People who  speak both languages, n(H ∩ E) = 15

Formula, n(A ∪ B) = n(A) + n(B) – n(A ∩ B)

=>  n(H∪E) = n(H)+n(E)−n(H∩E)   ...............(1)

Put the given values in equation (1)

n(H ∪ E) = 60 + 30 – 15

= 75

Hence, People who speak at least one language are 75.
