Given :- In a company, 58% of the employees are males and rest are females. 48% of the employees are graduates of which 33% are males. Among females, the percentage of those who are not graduates is ? (to one decimal place).

Solution :-

Let us assume that, total employees in the company are 100x.

So,

→ Male employees = 58% of 100x = 58x.

→ Female employees = Total employees - Male employees = 100x - 58x = 42x.

Now,

→ Total graduate employees in the company = 48% of 100x = 48x.

→ Total Male graduates = 33% of (Total graduate employees) = (33 * 48x)/100 = 15.84x employees.

Therefore,

→ Total female graduates = (Total graduate employees) - (Total Male graduates) = 48x - 15.84x = 32.16x .

Hence,

Total females who are not graduates = (Total Female employees) - (Total female graduates) = 42x - 32.16x = 9.84x .

→ Required % = (9.84x * 100) /100x = 9.8 % . (Ans.)

Answer:

Let employees be 100

M=58

F=42

Graduate(G)

G=48

G(M)=48*(1/3)=16

(33+1/3)%=100/(3*100)

G(F)=48-16=32

Uneducated(U)

U(F)=42-32=10

u(F)%=(10/42)*100=23.8%
