then the proportion of executives = 1-x

According to the question

43000*x + 32000*(1-x) = 35000

43000x + 32000 - 32000x = 35000

11000x = 3000

x = 3000/11000

x = 3/11

Therefore the ratio of managers to executives = 3/11 : (1-3/11)

= 3/11:8/11

= 3:8

Let the proportion of executives = x

then the proportion of workers = 1-x

According to the question

32000*x + 24000*(1-x) = 26000

32000x + 24000 - 24000x = 26000

8000x = 2000

x = 2000/8000 = 1/4

Therefore the ratio of executives to workers = 1/4:(1-1/4)

= 1/4:3/4

= 1:3
