In a competition 3 marks are given for every correct answer and -2 marks are given for every incorrect answer and no marks for not attempting any question , 1) Sachin scored 24 marks. If he got 14 correct answers, how many questions has he attempted incorrectly? 2)Nalini scores -7 marks in his competition , though she has got 9 correct answers. How many questions she has attempted incorrectly?

Total marks given for correct answer = 14×3=42=he should get this much marks but he got 24 which means 42 - 24 marks he lost . He lost -18 marks

There was -2 for wrong question and he deducted his marks by 18 which means he answered 9 questions wrong so 9 is the answer
