Answer:

Given,

6 marks are awarded for correct answers, 3 marks are deducted for wrong answers and 0 marks for not answering.

a. No. of correct answers = 7

No. of points for correct answers = 7 x 6. = 42 points

No. of wrong answers = 5

No. of points for wrong answers = 5 x -3 = -15 points

Total points = 42 + (-15)

                    = 42 - 15

                    = 27 points

∴ Sohail's score = 27 points

b.  No. of correct answers = 4

No. of points for correct answers = 4 x 6. = 24 points

No. of wrong answers = 12 - 4 = 8 (Since, she attempted 12 qns and got 4 qns correct )

No. of points for wrong answers = 8 x -3 = -24 points

Total points = 24 + (-24)

                    = 24 - 24

                    = 0 points

∴ Mahi's score = 0 points

c.  No. of correct answers = 6

No. of points for correct answers = 6 x 6. = 36 points

No. of wrong answers = 10 - 6 = 4  ( Since, he attempted only 10 qns out of which he got 6 correct )

No. of points for wrong answers = 4 x -3 = -12 points

Total points = 36 + (-12)

                    = 36 - 12

                    =  24 points

∴ Prithvi's score = 24 points
