In a competitive examination, there were 80 questions. The correct answer would carry 2 marks, and for incorrect answer 1 Marks would be deducted. Srinivas had attempted all the questions and he got total 70 marks. Then how many questions he got wrong?

Given that,

total no. of questions =80

so, total marks =80×2=160

therefore,

If a question is attempted and is still wrong then the no. of

=2[2 mark for question]+1[for wrong answer]

=2+1=3

then,marks scored =70

so,

mark cost =160−70=90

So, No. of questions get wrong = 90÷3 =

30
