A candidate gets 4 marks for each correct answer and for every un attempted or wrongly answered question one mark is deducted from the total score of correct answers. If a candidate scored 450 marks in the test ii) How many questions did he answer wrongly?

now, 450=4x+x-180

450=5x-180

5x=450+180

5x=630

x=630/5

x=126

= 180-126

=54

hence, 54 questions he answered wrongly.
