total outcomes is 30
hitting boundaries is 8
not hitting the boundaries is 30-8=22
P(not hitting the boundaries)=22/30
=11/15

Accroding to the question,

  • Total number of balls = 30
  • Numbers of baundary = 8

So, number of times batsman didn't hit the boundary = (30-8)=22

Probability he didn't hit a boundary = 22/30=11/15
