total possible outcomes (s)

= number of balls Batman played

=40

number of favourable outcome (f)

= number of times a hits the boundary

=8

probability of hitting boundary

P(E)

= f/s

=8/40

=1/5

probability of not hitting the boundary

=1-P(E)

=1-1/5

=5-1/5

=4/5

Hence, probability of not hitting boundary= 4/5
