scored the maximum
runs and every next
batsman scored 3
runs less than the
previous one, how
many runs did the
first batsman score?​

first batsmen score = x

now every batsman done 3n less than

it is arithmetic progression

solution = n/2 {2a+(n-1)d}

n =10 a=3 d =3

=10/2 {2(3) + (10-1)3 }

= 5 {6+(9)3}

= 5 { 6+27}

= 5(33)

= 165

11x-165 = 330

11x = 330+165

x = 495/11

x = 45

First player done 45 runs
