Looks like, for the plants in question, that the genes for dwarf plant height and white flowers are recessive and that the genes for tall plant height and purple flowers are dominant. Let’s indicate the dominate characteristics as TT for height and PP for color and the recessive as tt for height and pp for color. Therefore, the genotypes for the parent plants would have to be ttPP for one and TTpp for the other. That way, each of the offspring plants would inherit a T and a p from one parent and a t and a P from the other parent, making each offspring plant either TtPp, tTpP, TtpP, or tTPp. In each case, the T and P being dominant and the t and p being recessive, all of the offspring plants would be tall with purple flowers.
