Homozygous for first character and heterozygous for second and third characters:

  • The genes that are considered are E F and G.
  • The plant with genotype EeFfGg is a pure hybrid plant with having both the dominant and recessive alleles for all three genes.
  • Whereas the next plant having genotype eeffGg is a hybrid of only the third allele.
  • To get the perfect genotype mixture, we will get a total of 16 different plants as there are three variables and the gene is 2^{3}

So, the required probability comes out as \frac{2^{2}-2}{16}=\frac{3}{16}
