The curved surface area will remain same.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the radius of cylinder be r

Let the height of the cylinder be h

Curved surface area of cylinder = 2\pi r h

Now we are given that the radius is doubled and height is halved

r = 2r

h = h/2

So, new curved surface area of cylinder =  2\pi(2r)(\frac{h}{2}

                                                                   =  2\pi r h

So, there is no change in the curved surface area of cylinder .

Hence the curved surface area will remain same.
