now let for convineance  r=2 and h=5
no the volume of cylinder will be=22/7*2*2*5
                                                   =62.856 $cm^{3}$

acc to question r=2/2=half of radius=1
and height =5*2=10
now new volume will be=22/7*1*1*10
                                       =31.428  $cm^{3}$

hence the new volume is 1/2of original volume
