Step-by-step explanation:

There are 2 cases for the cylinder.

In first case;

the radius of cylinder = r

the height of cylinder = h

So the Volume of cylinder will be πr^2h.

In second Case;

the radius of the cylinder = R

the height of cylinder = H

in this case the radius is halved to former value.

So, R = r/2

and the height is doubled.

So, H = 2h

Now,the volume will be πR^2H

We need to replace the values of radius and height.

So,

= π × (r/2)^2 × 2h

= π × r^2/4 × 2h

after cancelling the 2 and 4..we get,

πr^2h / 2.

It means that the Volume of the cylinder in second case is halved to the former value.
