In a cylinder, if radius is halved and the height is doubled then find its curved surface area.

let the radius be x
and height be y
formula of curved surface=2πrh
=2×22/7×x×y
=44xy/7

if the radius is halved=x/2
if the height is doubled =2y
formula=2πrh
=2×22/7×x/2×2x
=44xy/7

thus they will be same
