=> 6/9  = 8/CE

=> CE = 12

(ii) If AD/BD =3/4 and AC = 15 cm, find AE.

=> 3/4 =  AE/CE

=> CE = 4 AE/3

AE + CE = AC

=> AE + 4AE/3 = 5

=> AE = 15/7
