let total participants = 100unit

girl= 70unit, boy = 30 unit

qualified girl = 65% of 70 = (91/2)unit

qualified boy = 35% of 30 = (21/2)unit

remaining eliminated girl = 70unit- (91/2)unit =(49/2)unit

but in question , eliminated girl given 49

so, (49/2)unit ==== 49

1 unit = 2

so we can say total participants = 100×2 = 200

girl total = 70×2 = 140, boy total =30×2 = 60

qualified boy = (21/2) ×2 = 21

so unqualified/ eliminated boys = 60-21 = 39

Given sp=220 and loss=12%

so, the CP = (220*100)/88 =250 Rs

now the new profit is 10% and cp is 250 Rs

and we have to find by how much amount as compared to earlier the SP will be more so as to gain profit of 10%.

so SP= (250*110)/100 =275 Rs

now increase in amount= 275–220 = 55 Rs...

Hope it will help u ☺️
