Every expression of social division in politics does not lead to disasters but it is beneficial too.

 (a) The various disadvantaged groups express their grievances and get the government to attend the same.

 (b) Expression of various kinds of social divisions in politics often result in their cancelling one another out and thus reducing their intensity.

 (c) Fight against injustice often takes a democratic path voicing their demands in a peaceful and Consitutional manner and seeking a fair position through elections.

Explanation:

• Caste division is special to India. Members of the same caste group are supposed to form a social community. Casteism play d an important role in Indian politics. When party's choose candidates in election or form government, the y keep in mind the caste composition of the electorate and select candidate from different castes to satisfy the electorate. Sometimes the caste politics gives us inefficient leaders, which is not good for our democracy. Our constitution has prohibited any caste based discrimination.

• But for their own interest, political parties favour caste in politics. Besides this negative impact, casteism has also positive impact to politics. Universal adult franchise and the principle of one person one vote brought new consciousness among the people of caste that were hitherto treated as inferior and low.

• In this sense, caste politics has helped people from the Dalit and the OBC caste to gain better access to decision making. Several political and non political organisation have been demanding for and discrimination against these caste and more dignity and opportunities for these caste in our society.

Thus it can be concluded that in a democracy political expression of social division is very normal and can be healthy.
