In democracy, we choose our leaders .People vote because they hope the person that most closely aligns with their political believes wins the elections. So that person can bring the change they want. A lot of people don’t care that much about idealogy and just check what ideas they like most of a person or who appealing on television. Truth to be told people have different reasons for voting and this might differ in countries. In the US, for example, some people just vote Biden because they don’t like Trump not because they agree with Biden. Most people still vote because they like their preferred leader's ideology and ideas the most.
