Answer:

Let r→Rabbits

p→pheasants

Total number of heads=35

r+p=35

Total number of feet=98

Rabbits have 4 and pheasants have 2

So,

4r+2p=98

r+p=35

Multiply 2 on both sides,

2r+2p=70-------(1)

4r+2p=98------(2)

(2)-(1)

4r+2p=98

2r+2p=70

________

2r+0=28

r=28/2

r=14

Therefore, there are 14 rabbits.

No.of pheasants=35-14

=21
