Answer:

For dining hall:-

Length=25 m

Breadth=12 m

So, its area=L×B

=25×12

=300 m²

For square:-

Side=8 m

So, its area=s²

=8²

=64 m²

So, area left=Dining hall's area-square's area

=300-64

=236 m²

236 m²

Given:

  • Dining hall dimensions are : 25m x 12 m
  • Area : 8m for cooking

To Find:

  • To find Area left over for dining ?

Solution:

  • Dining Hall :

  The Length = 25 m

  The Breadth = 12 m

 We Know That,

 Then area=L x B

  = 25 x 12

  = 300 m²

  • Square for cooking :

Each Side of square = 8 m

We Know That,

Then area = s²

  =  8²

  = 64 m²

Now, the area left is  =  Dining hall's area - squares area.

 =  300-64

 = 236 m²

Therefore,

The area left over for the dining is: 236 m²
