A Leuchtturm A5 has 27 dots across and 37 down. So if you leave one row and column clear, in from the edge all round, you have 26 columns and 36 rows
A 31 day month plus headings fits the rows well, as does a five, six, seven or eight section grid.
Supposedly the Leuchtturm and Moleskine both have a 5mm grid but I'm not sure how precise that is, I just counted in the Leichtturm.
