Percentage of winner's votes = 53%

Percentage of loser's votes = 100 - 53 = 47%

Difference in percentage = 53 - 47 = 6%

6% = 9600

1% = 9600 ÷ 6 = 1600

100% = 1600 x 100 = 160,000

Answer: There are 160,000 votes.
