In a exam first 3 students average number is 20 more than average of first 5 students, but first 3 students total number is 70 less than first 5 student total. then how many number first 3 students get?​

Answer:

Let , average no of 3 student = x

". ". 5. " = ( x -20 )

Total no of first 3 student 3x

No of 5 will be = 5 ( x -20 )

Conditionally ,

3x + 70 = 5 ( x - 20 )

3x + 70 = 5x - 100

3x - 5x = - 100 - 70

- 2x = - 170

x = 170 / 2 = 85

( ans ) = 3× 85 = 255
