In a exaMintaion, 5 % of the applicant were found ineligble and 85 % of the eligble candiate belonged to the general category. If 4275 candiates velonged to other categories ,then how many candiate applied for examination?

students ineligible =(5÷100)x
students of general category= (85÷100)x
others=(10÷100)x

10 ÷100x= 4275
x=42750
