Production of motor bike in a particular year =40,000
Let rate be r%
According to the question,
40000(1+r/100)^2=48400
(1+r/100)^2=48400/40000
(1+r/100)^2=121/100
(1+r/100)^2=(11/100)^2
1+r/100=11/10
r=10%
So the rate or growth =10% .ans
