In a factory, the ratio of number of defective bulbs produced to the
number of good ones is 1:10. In 1 hour, a machine produces 220 bulbs. Find
the number of defective bulbs produced in 1 day.​

No.of defective bulbs out of 10 bulbs = 1 The ratio of defective bulbs to the total no.of bulbs = 1:10

Total no.of bulbs produced = 630 Let the no.of defective bulbs be x Then the ratio is x:630

Now 1:10 = x:630

10x =630

→ X = 630/10

... x = 63

The no.of defective bulbs = 63
