Let, the total number of children be "c"

∴ Number of girls = 2c/3

∴ Number of boys = c-2c/3

                              = (3c-2c)/3

                              = c/3

By condition,

(2c/3)-(c/3)=2

⇒(2c-c)/3=2

⇒c =2×3

⇒c =6

∴The number of girls = 6×2/3

                                    = 4 girls

∴ The number of boys = 4-2

                                     = 2 boys
