3x+2x=4000

Answer:

amount spent on Provisions =  2400

amount spent on Vegetables = 1600

Step-by-step explanation:

amount spent in a month for buying Provisions and Vegetables are in

the ratio 3 : 2

Let say amount spent on Provisions = 3M

Then amaount spent on Vegetables = 2M

Total Amount Spent = 3M + 2M = 5M

5M = 4000

=> M = 800

amount spent on Provisions =  3M = 3 * 800 = 2400

amount spent on Vegetables =  2M = 2 * 800 = 1600
