In a female undergoing hysterectomy the event that will not occur is (4) Both (1) and (3).

  • Hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus surgically.
  • The uterus is the site where the development of a foetus or baby occurs.
  • Sperm moves towards ampulla - isthmic junction via uterus but after hysterectomy, sperms are evicted out of the body and hence no fertilisation.
  • Ovulation is the release of the ovum from the fallopian tube.
  • If there is no fertilisation then menstruation occurs because of the breaking down of the lining of the uterus.
