In a field study of Eupatorium , viable pollen grains from it's bisexual flower were placed on the healthy stigma of same flower there was no fertilization. At the same time similar pollen grains from another flower of another plant of Eupatorium was placed on the stigma. The flower fertilized. Give scientific explanation for the above with respect to it's outbreeding device.
