In a figure, four congruent circles with radii 7 cm shown. What is the area of the shaded region?

as we can see in the square the are four quarters of circle.

if we multiply them, then

4×1/4=1circle

radius=7cm (given)

area of square = 14²

(as the radius is 7 the diameter [side] will be double of it)

= 196cm²

area of circle=πr²

=(22/7)×7×7

=22×7

=154

area of shaded part=area of square - area of circle

area of shaded part=196-154

=42cm²
