${ab}^{2} + {ac}^{2} = {bc}^{2}$
6^2+8^2=BC^2
36+64=BC^2
100=BC^2
10=BC
now,
r=AB+AC-BC/2
r=6+8-10/2
r=14-10/2
r=4/2
r=2
