Zygote divides several times, to form an embryo. The ovule develops a thick coat
and is into seed. The ovary grows rapidly and ripens to form the fruit.

After fertilization, these are the events takes place in flowering plant:

- The center part of a flower called ovary changes to a fruit.

- The ovule inside the ovary will shift to seeds.

- The sepals and petals of a flower will dry up wither away.

- The outer integument part will convert into testa, a covering around the fruit.

- The embryo sac changes to endosperm and embryo.
