Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

In a fraction if 4 is added to to the numerator and 2 is subtracted from the denominator of fraction is is 1 more than twice the the numerator.

Correction :-

In a fraction if 4 is added to to the numerator and 2 is subtracted from the denominator of fraction is 2 and the denominator is 1 more than twice the the numerator.

To find :-

Find the fraction ?

Solution :-

Let the numerator in a fraction be X

Let the denominator in the fraction be Y

Given that

Denominator = 2×Numerator +1

=> Y = 2X+1 --------(1)

Then, the fraction = X/(2X+1)

On adding 4 to the numerator then the numerator becomes (X+4)

On subtracting 2 from the denominator then the denominator becomes (Y-2)

=> 2X+1-2

=> 2X-1

Then , the new fraction = (X+4)/(2X-1)

According to the given problem

In a fraction if 4 is added to to the numerator and 2 is subtracted from the denominator of fraction is 2 .

=> (X+4)/(2X-1) = 2

=> X+4 = 2(2X-1)

=> X+4 = 4X-2

=> 4X-X = 4+2

=> 3X = 6

=> X = 6/3

=> X = 2

=> Numerator = 2

On substituting the value of X in (1) then

=> Y = 2(2)+1

=> Y = 4+1

=> Y = 5

=> Denominator = 5

The Fraction = 2/5

Answer:-

The required fraction for the given problem is 2/5

Check:-

The Fraction = 2/5

=> 2/(2×2+1)

=> Denominator = 2×Numerator+1

In a fraction if 4 is added to to the numerator and 2 is subtracted from the denominator

=> (2+4)/(5-2)

=> 6/3

=> 2

Verified the given relations in the given problem.
