Let the numerator and denominator a fraction be x and y respectively.

According to the question,

y−1x+2=32

3x−2y=−8....(1)

And,

y+2x+1=31

3x−2y=−1....(2)

Now subtracting,

3x−y=−1....(2)

3x−2y=−8...(1)

−++

_____________

y=7

From (1),

3x−2(7)=−8

3x=−8+14

x=2
