Let the numerator be x.
Then the denominator will be 2x - 4.
Therefore the fraction will be x/2x - 4 ---------- (1)
Given 5 is added to the numerator and to the denominator and fraction = 4/3.
(x+5)/(2x - 4 + 5) = 4/3
(x+5)/(2x+1) = 4/3
3x + 15 = 8x + 4
5x = 11
x = 11/5
Substitute x in(1), we get New fraction = 11/5/2(11/5) - 2.
