As we know that

p(e) = no. of outcomes/total no. of outcomes

total no. of outcomes = 20+10+10=40

for apple,

no. of outcomes = 20

p(e) = 20/40

=1/2

for mango,

no. of outcomes = 10

p(e) = 10/40

=1/4
