In a fruit stall, there are apples, bananas, blueberries and pears. The number of blueberries is 25% of the total number of fruits. The number of blueberries and bananas is the same and the number of pears is half the number of bananas. Find out the total number of fruits if there are 225 apples.

1.No of blueberries = No.of bananas

=25% of total fruits

2.No of pears = no of bananas÷2

=12.5 % of total fruit

3. No of apples

= 37.5% of total fruits

= 225

Then total no of fruits

  • =x
  • x × 37.5÷100 = 225
  • x = (225×100)÷37.5
  • =600

No of blueberries = No of bananas

  • = 600×(25÷100)
  • 150

No of pears

  • =600×(12.5÷100)
  • 75
