In a furniture store , 24 tables were bought at the rate of Rs. 400 per table. The shopkeeper sold all the tables for Rs.10800. Find his gain % or loss %.

price of one table is 400 rupees

so total price of 24 tables=24*400=9600 Rs

shopkeeper sold all 24 tables in 10800 Rs

so shopkeeper gets benifit

so the gain% ={(10800-9600)/9600}*100

=(1200/9600)*100

= 12.5%

24 tables cost = Rs 400 X 24 = Rs 9600

CP= Rs 9600
SP= Rs 10800

SP > CP

Gain = Rs 10800 - 9600 = Rs 1200
Gain % = 1200/9600 X 100 = 12.5% Ans.
