3rd term = ar^2 = 2   ......................(1)

7th term = ar^6= 1/8  ......................(2)

Dividing (1) by (2) ,we get r^4 = 1/16.

∴ r = -1/2   (∵ common ratio is said to be negative)

Substituting value of r in (1) , we get a = 8

10th term = ar^10 = 1/128
