In a game of chess assume a situation where you have made 20 moves
and taken out four pieces of your opponent. It seems likely that you
would win, however, the game is not over yet. What cumulative
reward have you achieved so far?

Answer:

in theory you have achieved nothing exept u have made your opponent now 8% weaker in terms of the number of pawns or chess pieces but chess is all about stratergy, therefore there is no achievement as your oppeonet still has a good chance of winning

Explanation:

Like i said Chess is a game of stratergy so your opponent may have killed of those pawns on purpose so be aware and think twice before ur next move.
